Strengthening Child Protection: NGEC Nakuru Engages County Children Services

The engagement underscored the vital role of inter-agency collaboration in advancing child protection, equality

The meeting, held at the Department of Children Services office in Nakuru, revolved around strategic areas of partnership that can amplify efforts to support vulnerable children.

Both teams explored opportunities in resource sharing, peer learning, and joint rapid response initiatives to enhance service delivery. Additionally, discussions emphasised the need for increased stakeholder engagement and joint participation in commemorating international days dedicated to children’s welfare.

The engagement comes at a crucial time when children in Kenya continue to face various forms of vulnerability, including neglect, abuse, and economic hardship. The NGEC and the Department of Children Services pledged to work together to address these challenges by advocating for policy reforms, increasing public awareness, and providing holistic support to affected children.
