New Commissioners undergo successful induction programme

Chairperson Dr. Joyce Mutinda, Vice Chairperson Dr. Muriithi Chomba and Commissioner Hon. Priscilla underwent a successful 3-day intensive induction program in Naivasha where they familiarized themselves with the NGEC mandate as set out in the NGEC Act of 2011, the Strategic Plan and the Commission’s organization structure.

The induction was part of an elaborate on boarding programme for the new members who were sworn in on August 29, 2018 by Chief Justice David Maraga following their appointment by President Uhuru Kenyatta. Following the induction, there was consensus that the 2017-2022 strategic would be reviewed to reflect a shift in programming and repositioning the Commission into an effective monitoring institution.

Other resolutions that were made include a review of the existing organization structure and revitalization of the resource mobilizing strategy.
