KITUI

The Commission’s Kitui Regional Office welcomed a new intern during a staff meeting, marking the start of a professional journey in public service.

Through orientation, the intern was introduced to the Commission’s mandate and functions, organisational structure and strategic direction, and to the Kitui office’s work in advancing gender equality, inclusion, equal opportunities and freedom from discrimination.

An internship offers more than work experience. It provides an understanding of how public institutions operate, the chance to develop professional skills, exposure to communities, and a view of how policy and institutional mandates translate into change in people’s lives.

The Commission recognises young people as central to Kenya’s present and its future. Investment in their skills, edge and exposure to public service builds a generation capable of running institutions that are responsive, inclusive and accountable.
