The Commission’s Garissa Regional Office participated in Devolution Sensitisation Week held from 27 July to 1 August 2026.
The week provided an opportunity to strengthen public understanding of devolution, encourage citizen participation and promote inclusive, accountable and responsive county governance.
Through its participation, NGEC used the platform to share information on its mandate, programmes and services and to reinforce the importance of equality, inclusion and freedom from discrimination in county governance.
For citizens, the devolution agenda is ultimately about whether county systems are accessible, responsive and capable of reaching all sections of the population.
