The Commission’s engagement with Kilifi County leadership provided a platform to connect national evidence on equality and inclusion with county-level action. The County Government reaffirmed its partnership with NGEC in advancing the rights of women, children, youth, older persons, persons with disabilities and marginalised communities.
The engagement also provided the setting for the launch of four Equality and Inclusion publications, covering public sector performance contracting, State corporations, the teaching workforce and accessibility of buildings.
For county governments, the value of the reports lies in their potential to inform planning, budgeting, service delivery and institutional accountability using evidence on where inclusion gaps remain.
