The Kitui Office of the National Gender and Equality Commission (NGEC) has submitted written recommendations on the Draft National Payment System Policy and the National Payment System Bill, 2026. The submission followed a public participation meeting convened by the National Treasury in collaboration with the Central Bank of Kenya at KEFRI, Kitui.
The policy and the Bill seek to strengthen a national payment system that is safe, secure, efficient, accessible, affordable and inclusive. The forum brought together members of the public and stakeholders from Kitui, Machakos and Makueni counties to review the proposed policy and legislation, share their views, raise concerns and submit recommendations.
