The National Gender and Equality Commission has reaffirmed its partnership with the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) to advance equality, inclusion and freedom from discrimination.

The Commission hosted an FCDO delegation led by Development Director and Deputy High Commissioner Ms. Diana Dalton for discussions on priority areas for collaboration.

The engagement focused on inclusive electoral governance ahead of the 2027 General Elections, Technology-Facilitated Gender-Based Violence, survivor-centred access to justice, the Women, Peace and Security agenda and institutional capacity to advance equality and inclusion.

The partnership has previously supported initiatives addressing sexual and gender-based violence, gender-responsive budgeting, inclusive electoral processes and the rights of Special Interest Groups. The engagement provides an opportunity for the two institutions to build on this work and translate shared priorities into practical action.
