The Commission (NGEC) has initiated discussions with the Huduma Kenya Secretariat to establish NGEC information desks in select Huduma Centres across the country. The move is part of the Commission’s efforts to bring its services closer to the people and enhance public access to information on equality, inclusion, and the rights of special interest groups.
Huduma Kenya is a Vision 2030 flagship programme with the mandate to transform public service delivery. It provides citizens with efficient and citizen-focused services through OneStop-Shop service centres located nationwide.
Technical teams from both NGEC and the Huduma Kenya Secretariat recently held a working session to firm up the modalities of the proposed partnership.
The planned deployment of NGEC desks will provide citizens with direct access to information, referral services, and advisory support on matters related to gender equality and non-discrimination. The initiative also aligns with the shared commitment of both institutions to improve access, accountability, and service delivery at the grassroots.
