Fiona Njeru-Muthuri, is the Ag. Head of the Regional Coordination Department from December 2025 . She has undergone Senior Management Course from the Kenya School of Government. She holds a Master's Degree in Program Planning and Management from The University of Nairobi, a Bachelor's of Arts Degree in Gender and Development Studies from Kenyatta University. She joined the Commission in June 2018. She is passionate about inclusion of youth in all sectors of the economy and is an example that youth are able to take lead.

Implementing Strategies in the Commission's Strategic Plan 2025-2027 relating to Special Interest Groups on mainstreaming at the regional level

Provision of advice to the regional coordinators on matters relating to gender equality and freedom from discrimination

Coordination of public education programme at the regional level for the creation of a culture of respect for principles of equality and freedom from discrimination

Development of strategic partnership and coordination with relevant stakeholders on matters of Special Interest Groups

Collaboration and resource mobilization for the regions to enhance sustainability in implementation of activities

Coordination of compliance monitoring at the national and county level with Constitutional Provisions, National Laws, Regional and International conventions and treaties relating to gender equality and freedom from discrimination

Provide guidance in development of affirmative action policies in National and County Governments in the public and private sector.
